I see several dozen WhiteTail Deer every night just eating along side the road.
I also see almost as many dead much closer and in the milddle of the road.
Fog changes everything, I first thought that fog confused the deer but after some research it seems that the cover of fog makes them bolder.
This night I had already slowed down from the usual 62 to 50 mph and was coming around a slight curve and in the headlights, which is all you can see, are five or six deer standing in my lane. Each one facing different directions. I hit the brakes and the air horn and they all scrambled to get out of the way.
Unfortunatley one stubbled and fell right as I was on top of it.
I hit it with the right front bumper and then with seven wheels of the truck and trailor.
I feel bad.
